This can be paid, voluntary or placement work, or even life experience. Generally, you’ll need a minimum of 240 UCAS points: five GCSEs grade A* to C, including English and Maths, and two A-levels.

The BA is recognised by the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC) for registration in supervisory roles in adult social care.

The new qualification is underpinned by the Standard for Chief Social Work Officers and will attract 120 credits at Scottish Credit and Qualifications Framework (SCQF) level 11.
