Scholarships For Creative Writing

We accept creative work in fiction, poetry, creative nonfiction, or some combination of genres.The winner of this award will be notified on February 19.

The manuscripts will be judged by a U-M faculty member and a judge at the Kasdan Company. Applicants must be currently enrolled graduate or undergraduate U-M students.

Contestants may submit manuscripts in one of the areas of screenplay or drama, but may only submit one work.

Scholarships For Creative Writing School Essays

This name should only appear on the title page, nowhere else in the manuscript.Note: fiction, nonfiction, and poetry may not be entered in this contest.The deadline for the contest is Wednesday, February 8, 2019, by 12 noon.The annual winner of the Creative Writing Award will receive: The winner will be expected to join the previous award winners in reading subsequent creative portfolios, and will help the Office of Admission in selecting the next winner.Award winners are also expected to be prominent members of Ursinus’ Literary Society, the Lantern, and creative writing community.Our goal was to create a fantastic resource for students who want to make education a reality and highlight the great organizations sponsoring the scholarships.Whether it’s writing an essay about a creative topic, studying overseas, or pursing your love for chocolate, you’ll likely find a scholarship here that you never imagined actually exists.We will also award nine Finalists in homage to Salinger’s collection of short stories.
